The Together with Kernel Charitable Foundation has a long history of active work that began on June 13, 2013. It was established by Kernel, one of the largest grain producers and exporters in Ukraine and a leader in the global sunflower oil market, to provide comprehensive support to communities in the regions of its presence.

History of the Foundation
2013
Foundation of the Foundation and systematization of social activities.
Kernel, which has been actively developing its agricultural business and cooperating with communities since 2010, has consolidated all its social initiatives into the Together with Kernel community support program. The All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation of the same name was established to implement this program. This was a key step in the transition from scattered charitable projects to systematic and strategically planned activities.

Since 2014
Active development and expansion of activities.
The Foundation began to work systematically within the framework of social agreements concluded with communities. The budget of social projects began to depend on the amount of land leased in the community, which ensured a fairer distribution of resources.

2018–2020
Recognition at the national level.
- 2019:
The Together with Kernel Foundation became a laureate of the Charitable Ukraine National Competition in the category "Charity of Big Business". - 2020:
Winning the Charity in the Social Sphere nomination of the same Charitable Ukraine competition. These awards confirmed the effectiveness and significance of the Foundation's work.
The current stage (2020s)
Focus on sustainable community development and countering challenges.
- Fighting the COVID-19 pandemic:
In 2020, Kernel, through the Foundation, allocated significant funds (UAH 150 million) to fight the coronavirus in Ukraine, demonstrating its ability to respond quickly to global challenges. - Response to a full-scale invasion:
The Foundation actively supports the military and their families, in particular through the Children of the Unbreakable project, providing necessary assistance to the children of defenders. - Investments in infrastructure and rehabilitation:
The Foundation is involved in the creation and reconstruction of important facilities, such as the rehabilitation center in Holovanivsk for veterans and victims of war. This indicates a shift to more capital-intensive and long-term projects. - Educational initiatives and community development:
The Foundation is becoming a partner of programs such as the "Capable" course and "My Community: Together with Kernel". These initiatives are aimed at increasing the financial capacity of communities, their transparency, and effective resource management, which is an important element of modernizing approaches to community support. The Foundation invests in the knowledge and practical skills of community leaders so that they can independently attract funding and implement projects. - Barrier-free access and inclusion:
The Foundation supports projects aimed at improving the barrier-free accessibility of workplaces, as well as retraining programs.
Over the years, the Together with Kernel Charitable Foundation has gone from systematizing corporate social responsibility to becoming a large-scale investor in the sustainable development of Ukrainian communities, adapting to the challenges of the times and focusing on long-term, systemic solutions.

This year, we’ve had a truly value-driven partnership with Kernel and the Together with Kernel Charitable Foundation.
The ‘My Community’ program allowed local teams to experience crowdfunding and learn how to raise funds for social projects.
We realized that every community can test its strengths through real-world fundraising.
In just the first few weeks, the teams raised ₴206,000. This is a powerful program that transforms approaches and helps build a strong home front.

We did it! The fundraising for the Eco Chill Zone is officially CLOSED!
Through the My City platform, we raised ₴66,714 to bring our idea to life.

We did it! Thanks to the ‘My Community: Together with Kernel’ program, our project ‘Investing in Youth Who Invest in Nature’ received co-financing of ₴119,082.
The initiative targets environmental pollution, biodiversity loss, and youth disengagement.
